How is the awakened and awakening heart depicted? How can the practices of looking at and creating buddhist art be a support on our path to awakening? Stephanie will explore these questions using Buddhist Visual Literacy, a practice that joins art, clear seeing, and symbolism with the Buddhist path.
Presented by the Mahasiddha Retreat Centre, the Amitābha Retreat will be held both onsite at Maitrivana in Vancouver and online via Zoom. This is a precious opportunity for Nalandabodhi members and friends to make prayer requests for the living and departed.
We are launching a four-week Zoom program for parents entitled Parenting as Path: The View, Path, and Practicalities. Led by Steve Sachs, this program will offer an opportunity to explore, experience, and discuss parenting as a genuine spiritual path and practice—one that helps uncover the very best in ourselves and our children, even as we remain works-in-progress within an ever-changing world.
Affiliation with Nalandabodhi Colorado is not required.
Mitra Karl Brunnhölzl will offer a weekend retreat, hosted by our friends at Bodhicarya, based on the traditional Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness as taught by Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche.
Many local Nalandabodhi sanghas and Nalandabodhi Akasha offer online meditation practices throughout the week. All are welcome to join, regardless of background or experience.
Over two weekends, we will connect to the innate heart of kindness that resides within each of us through meditation, poetry, dialogue and song.
