Introduction to Buddhism

Wed., June 22, 2022
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Curious about Buddhism and the basic teachings in Buddhism? What is the cause of suffering and discontentment, and can we find a path that offers peace, happiness, and freedom from suffering?

Nalandabodhi Colorado is offering a series focused on the basic principles of Buddhism and foundational Buddhist topics. The courses are based on talks by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, a contemporary Tibetan teacher and facilitated by senior students of Nalandabodhi Colorado. We explore such topics as the Four Noble Truths, karma, egolessness, the purpose of mindfulness practices, and the path of meditation.  Each class starts with a brief, guided meditation, followed by talk and discussion. There are 4 courses in the Intro Series and each course runs 4 weeks.  These classes may be taken as a full course or attended on a drop- in basis. All are welcome!

First course is titled The Life of the Buddha and the Spiritual Journey.
Offered online, via Zoom, 6 to 7:30 pm Mountain time.
Suggested donation of $20 per course (includes 4 classes).
Classes run June 22, 29, July 6 & 13.
