Mitra Tyler on Vajrayana Tara Practice

Sun., September 6, 2026
10:30 am - 1:00 pm
Nalandabodhi Colorado

Join us at Odantapuri on September 6 and 13 as we gather to join Mitra Tyler in Seattle via Zoom for two teachings on deity practice and Ārya Tārā. These talks will help prepare us for the Tārā Drupchen practice, September 17–20.

Mitra Tyler will invite us to explore deity practice in general, and the meditation and mantra recitation of Ārya Tārā in particular. He will discuss how deity practice can help us come to know our own minds; how Tārā is renowned for dispelling fear and obstacles; and how we can approach the ritual elements of the practice when they initially feel complex or intimidating.

On September 6 and 13, our morning meditation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon. At noon, we will join Mitra Tyler’s teaching via Zoom. A light snack will be available beforehand.

We hope you’ll join us at Odantapuri for this opportunity to practice and connect together before Tārā Drupchen. If you are not able to join us in person, you may register for the talks through the Nalandabodhi website.

We also plan to offer opportunities to practice together at Odantapuri during Tārā Drupchen for the English practices with Zoom. The schedule is still being finalized and we will share it as soon as it is available.

Schedule:

Sept 6 and Sept 13

Meditation 10:30 to 12:00

Talk via Zoom 12:00 to 1:00
