A Contemplative Practice
Weekly on Mondays
March 30 – May 11
6-7 pm PT/7-8 pm MT or 7-8 pm CET
Lojong, or mind training, is a core contemplative practice in all the lineages of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Rooted in the teachings of Atisha and systematized in texts such as The Seven Points of Mind Training, these pithy slogans offer a practical method for transforming the mind. The focus is to turn away from self-centered habits and to cultivate bodhicitta, the awakened heart with the intention to benefit others. We will provide guidance for integrating these powerful instructions into everyday life.
Starting on March 30 and ending on May 11th, Nalandabodhi Colorado will be offering a weekly course on Mondays on Mind Training. Â The course will be very much focused on the practice of the Atisha’s Mind Training slogans with specific practice instructions being given for each slogan. Class discussion will be encouraged, be it on how your practice of a particular slogan or slogans went during the week, as well as any discussion or questions on the slogans being introduced in the class.
The course will be available via Zoom in both the Americas and in Europe. In Europe, the class will start at 19:00 CET, while in the Americas, it will start at 6:00 PM PT (7:00 pm MT).  Each class is an hour.
Karunika Andrew Clark will lead the course. Â Andrew is a long-time student of Rinpoche and has held several roles in the sangha including being co-study coordinator in Colorado and Nalandabodhi Board chair from 2011 – 2018. Currently he is a member of Rinpoche’s office, dprO.
