Please Note: the course has been rescheduled. It will now start on June 3.
Curious about Buddhism? What are the basic teachings in Buddhism? What is the cause of suffering and discontentment? What is the path that leads to peace, happiness, and freedom from suffering?
Nalandabodhi Colorado is offering a series of talks and courses on foundational Buddhist topics. The introductory courses in the Nalandabodhi Path of Study explore the basic principles of Buddhism. You will learn about the Four Noble Truths, karma, egolessness, the purpose of mindfulness practices, and the path that leads to peace, happiness, and freedom from suffering and discontentment. The courses also lay the foundation for deeper studies.
There are 4 courses in the series. Each course runs for 4 weeks.
The first course starts Thursday, April 22. It’s now rescheduled for June 3. It’s called The Life of the Buddha and the Spiritual Journey.
The courses are based on talks by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, a contemporary Tibetan teacher. The courses are facilitated by senior students.
All are welcome! These classes may be attended as a course or on a drop- in basis. Discussions are led by senior students of Nalandabodhi Colorado. Each class will start with a short guided meditation.
The course will be offered online, via Zoom from 6:30 to 8:00 Mountain time. Please register (below) in advance to receive the Zoom link.
The cost is $20 per course (4 classes).
The accompanying sourcebooks by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche are available for purchase. It is recommended that the class readings be done prior to each class. The texts for each course are available from the Nalanda bookstore. Please order them at least 2 weeks in advance of each course. The text is $15.00 plus $10 to $14 for shipping.
