We are pleased to announce our next Mahayana Zoom class from Nalandabodhi Colorado. We will be exploring and contrasting the Yogachara, Mind Only and Shentong. In this class we will look at the Three Natures: Imputed, Dependent and the Perfectly Pure. These are said to be Mind’s three modes of operation. We will cover projections and how they create this samsaric mess that we are in. Other topics covered: The Eight Consciousnesses and how they arise and interact; Nonconceptual Wisdom; and Pure Mundane Wisdom. The class will also have two Practicums or Analytical Meditations on the Four Yogic Practices and Resting in Mind’s Natural Luminosity.
This class really begins to examine how the mind functions and creates the world that we live in. There is much to be gleaned here that relates directly to our path and practice in everyday life. We are moving beyond theory and into a vast and profound method of practical exploration.
The class starts on Tuesday March 16th and runs for 7 sessions. Time is 7pm to 8:30 MT.
Cost is $55 for NB members and $65 for non members. As always, contact us for financial assistance. Scholarships: available upon request.
